Niklas Simola is working as an Investment Manager at Finnfund's  Digital Infrastructure and Solutions (DIS) team. The DIS team ia a growth investor investing in commercially attractive high impact businesses within the emerging and frontier markets' digital value chain; focusing on connectivity un-/underserved areas, access to data, and digital solutions such as fintech, e-commerce, insurtech, and e-mobility. DIS team portfolio includes fiber, data center, tower, T-ESCO, fintech and E-commerce companies with the portfolio currently standing at $205m with the sector focus only having established in 2020.

Niklas has a broad background in finance and investments through different roles including positions at  EY and Africinvest, while holding a MSc in Finance degree from Nova School of Business and Economics.
